Another episode of the popular 1950's CBS-TV comedy "The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show". This episode is called "Beverly Hills Uplift Society" and aired during the 11th of October, 1951. Please excuse the mediocre picture quality caused by mediocre video source. NOTE: due to a request by torgman, I changed the heading of this upload.

Inflation
I just wanted to point out that the $120 dollars has jumped to $1,089.78 in today's money.

always interesting
The translation of this series from radio to tv was simply brilliant using the device of George as narrator and often breaking the fourth wall. As on the radio show, commercials are humorously thrust into the plot.
The missing $120 would be around $980 today.
The Beverly Hills Uplift Society and the idea that men had to be honorary women to be there was a staple of the radio shows. Personally I prefer the radio shows, being halfway in love with the hilarious Bill Goodwin, and enjoying Mel Blanc, guest stars, and orchestra leader Meredith Willson as one of the honorary women, etc but I enjoy seeing George calmly smoking and relating the setup, plot points, and conclusion.

United States Popular Culture???
Can these be retitled w/o the references to "1950's Popular Culture" or "1960's Classic TV", etc.? It makes it hard to skim titles.
